At Mission WPC, we take a holistic approach to the training and development of our athletes. Throughout the course of the session, athletes will be challenged both physically and mentally and will be encouraged to continuously give their best effort. Along with teaching fundamental skills, tactics, and concepts in the sport of water polo, we will also take time during practice each week to discuss the importance of topics such as: properly warming up, goal setting, being a great teammate, the mental game, time management, academic success, nutrition, getting good sleep, and how to deal with adversity.
Below you find detailed information on our upcoming Spring Session. Should you have any follow up questions pleases email Coach Barnea.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE
PLAYING TIME POLICY
Playing time will vary from athlete to athlete and from game to game, but we aim to provide all athletes with meaningful opportunities to contribute to the team’s success. Factors such as player’s ability, attitude, effort, practice attendance, roster size, and level of competition can all have an impact on playing time.
There will be certain games, such as SPA League games, where our focus will be on providing balanced playing time for all athletes in attendance. There will be other games and tournaments, such as Championships and Qualifying Tournaments, where playing time will not be as balanced, especially as tournaments progress.
Coaches will work to clearly communicate playing time expectations prior to, and during competitions, and we encourage dialog on the subject with athletes and parents should there be questions that arise along the way.
TEAM PLACEMENT
There will be changes to competition rosters, especially during the first half of each session, as coaches assess and evaluate athletes. Criteria for each athlete's team placement is based on, but not limited to: attitude, effort, performance, ability level, experience, position, age, and prior participation with Mission WPC. As each session progresses, and athletes are moved between rosters, coaches will do their best to communicate those changes in advance. Any athlete or parent with questions about their team placement should arrange a time to meet and talk with their coach.
COMMUNICATING WITH COACHES
We believe in strong and open lines of communications between coaches and families. Questions from athletes and parents will arise and coaches will always be there to listen and provide feedback and answers. We simply ask that any parent who has questions or would like to have meaningful dialog with any of the coaches, do so by emailing the coach in advance to set up a time to meet.
CODE OF CONDUCT
To ensure a positive and enriching experience for all members of our club, we have established a Code of Conduct that outlines the behavioral expectations for both athletes and parents/guardians.By adhering to these principles, we aim to create a culture that encourages healthy competition, positive interactions, and lifelong learning. We believe that every athlete's journey is enriched when they are surrounded by teammates, parents, and coaches who share these values. To view detailed information on our Athlete and Parent Code of Conducts click here
